 ポラリスは 日本アイビーリーグ同窓生協会（The Ivy League Alumni Associations of Japan）と共催で5月27日木曜日にトークイベントを開催します。理事を務めるジェイク・アデルスタイン氏がみなさんに日本の人身取引問題など、闇産業についてお話します。

アデルスタイン氏は1993年 から2005年まで、読売新聞の記者として勤務し、その後2006年から2007年までアメリカ政府の委託による日本での人身売買研究の主席研究員を務めました。著書『』はその間に得た経験に基づいています。日本における組織犯罪研究の第一人者として、現在日本及びアメリカにて著述や、コンサルタント業を行っています。

On Thursday, May 27 2010 for its latest event, Polaris Project will host author Jake Adelstein and other representatives of Polaris Project to speak on issues related to human trafficking and crime in Japan. The venue is the Tokyo 21c Club, located in the Shin Maru building near Tokyo station (1-5-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku), and the event will last from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Soft drinks and a light buffet will be served and the cost per person is 5,000 yen. Proceeds after costs from the event will go directly to Polaris Project.

JAKE ADELSTEIN
Jake Adelstein will be the main speaker for the evening and is the public relations director for Polaris. From 1993 to 2005, Jake was a reporter for the Yomiuri Shimbun, Japan's largest newspaper. From 2006 to 2007 he was the chief investigator for a U.S. State Department-sponsored study of human trafficking in Japan. Jake also wrote the book "Tokyo Vice" about his experiences with both jobs. Considered one of the foremost experts on organized crime in Japan, he works as a writer and consultant in Japan and the United States.
